Features

New functionality

Plug-ins:
One of the most interesting features is the facility for plug-ins. This means that the program can be extended. In fact the functionality of the program is mainly built around plug-ins. There will be a growing list of plug-ins, many of them free of charge!
Projects:
You can save a project and get back later to continue working on it, with all settings intact. You can also work with multiple projects at the same time (imagine you forgot to make darkframes: open a new project, prepare the dark frames and use them in your current project).
A project contains a number of categories: acquire, preprocess, align&stack, postprocess, store. Each of these categories can contain one or more plug-ins that do the real work. You are completely free to change the number or order of plug-ins within a category.
Full color with ease:
AstroStack can handle full color with the same ease as gray level pictures.
Flexibility:
The combination of multiple projects and plug-ins means there is a high degree of flexiblity in your work, while keeping a clear overview and ease of use.
AstroStack now also available for Mac and Linux users:
The new version will run under all major operating systems.
User adjustable scaling:
The main program and the two viewing windows can be scaled independently to suit your needs and fit your computerscreen. No fixed size as with AstroStack 2. See screenshots below.
Bigger size:
Image sizes up to approx. 3000x2000 pixels are supported, which caters for the current 6 megapixel digital cameras on the market. **
